Pad stone and connection details
Timber floor joists/rafters
Masonry wall and foundation checks
Full structural calculations for domestic extensions
Design packages suitable for building control approval
My focus is on straightforward, buildable solutions that work on site and fully comply with UK building regulations.

I am a chartered Civil Engineer (CEng) having achieved chartered status in 2014. I have worked in civil and structural engineering since 2008, primarily within the nuclear sector.
DD Structural Engineering has been established to provide structural design services for domestic construction projects across Cumbria.
With experience in residential alterations and extensions, I understand the practical realities of construction and work closely with builders to deliver clear, reliable structural solutions.
My aim is simple: provide clear, efficient structural designs that comply fully with UK regulations and support projects from concept through to completion.
